Asphalt

There are two particularities about requirements on diamond tools in the building sector:

Asphalt is characterized by the extreme abrasiveness of the material. Such abrasiveness is in many cases even enhanced by special aggregates. The bonds often contain tungsten or tungsten carbide, which protect them against abrasiveness. Such bonds have a high density and relatively high sintering temperatures and therefore usually require a thermally stable diamond.

The saw blades often have inclined segments, hammer segments or some segments which are displaced towards the center, in order to protect the core from excessive wear.

If special, local aggregates (such as very hard quartz-pebble) are used, we can recommend the optimum bond upon request.
