Bonds for granite

Granite is a relatively hard, sometimes abrasive stone. It is subdivided into different hardness grades.
Hard bonds are used; an increasing blade diameter requires increasing hardness of the bond.
Granite segments usually are sandwich segments without diamond-free backing, often of conical or stepped shape.

The requirements on diamond are high. Good to excellent qualities are mainly used.

Granite is typically worked with a small cutting depth (0.4 - 1.0 mm) and a high feed rate (12 - 18 m/min).

Benefits:

  • attractive prices
  • a suitable bond for every application
